Brief History of Angelbrin's
Angelbrin's Bouviers was founded in the 1980's. After moving to an acreage just SE of Calgary I was finally able to get the dog of my dreams … a Bouvier. Not knowing much, I found a breeder at a local car junk yard. So I brought home my first one, Angel. She was so cute and just a big ball of black fur. She loved to hunt and catch mice ( she was better than our cats) which she would proudly want to show me by chasing me around the yard with one in her mouth.
This is when I got into showing, however she was just not up to show quality. But that was OK - she was perfect to me and had personality plus. Angel was always called the Junk Yard Dog, but it was later that I found out she was 100% Dutch and came from a very impressive Dutch Bouvier Line.
Over the years I have had many different litters and kept some girls (Skye-Jayda-Rumor-Echo etc.) from those litters, always trying to improve my dogs by getting as close to breed standard as possible but never lacking in temperament.
My most recent success story is my girl Echo- Angelbrin's Sticky 'N' Sweet. It may have taken over 10 years, but it does not happen over night to produce a Bouvier that is as close to perfect (to me) to the breed standard as she is. Having both a very sound, loving temperament who has passed all of her health tests with flying colours, Echo is a Multi Best in Specialty Winner. She won her first one at just 18 months and has enjoyed much success since.
I look forward to many more years of Bouviers in my life.
